Quick Story Snippet

A gentle bump said they’d landed, and bright grass tickled their shoes. The sky-island drifted by like a sleepy ship, and striped flowers sang. "Welcome, earth-friends," called a tall fox, who shimmered and turned into a red bird. Finn gasped, but Ada bowed with a smile.

The shape-bird led them to a small cottage, and sweet steam curled from its chimney. Inside, a silver robot spun a whisk, and cinnamon clouds danced. "I am BAKER-BOT," it beeped, and trays of star buns rolled forward. Finn clapped, and Ada asked, "Can we help?"

"One recipe runs away," BAKER-BOT buzzed. "The dough keeps bouncing!" Ada laughed, and just then a doughy blob hopped past her boot. Finn chased it, but the dough leapt and hid. "Let’s fix this," Ada said, grabbing a sprinkle net.

Ada laid flour lines like a gentle fence, and Finn offered raisins as treats. The dough sniffed a raisin and paused, but it still wobbled. "It needs calm music," Ada guessed, and she tapped pans together like bells, but the dough bounced again and giggled.
