Emotional Literacy

- Eli, Isla, and Theo build a cardboard rocket, guided by magical giraffe Nebula, to restore fading colours in their world and hearts.

- In Chromasaur Canyon, they outsmart the lonely monster Vantor by solving puzzles, sharing emotions, and returning lost colours to the land.

- Their adventure teaches courage, kindness, and friendship, leaving Eli forever changed as he learns to embrace and share his feelings.

My son Eli is obsessed with space, especially black holes and time travel. He also loves dinosaurs, robots, and making up secret codes. He has a stuffed giraffe named Nebula who “comes alive” at night and they go on imaginary missions together. He wants to invent gadgets and discover new planets. He’s sometimes shy but always curious and asks “why?” about everything. He wishes he could build a rocket in the backyard with his two best friends, Isla and Theo, and travel through a portal to the prehistoric era—where dinosaurs and aliens have formed an unlikely alliance to stop a time-ripping villain from erasing colors from the universe.

Quick Story Snippet

They landed in Chromasaur Canyon, where emerald ferns drooped, drained of all colour. Standing guard over a jagged crystal prism, a towering beast—its scales grey as folded ash—lowered its head. “I am Vantor, eater of hues,” it thundered, voice rattling their bones. Eli’s knees knocked together.

Before panic could overtake him, Theo leaned close and whispered, “Distract, decode, restore.” Isla puffed up with brave energy. “Vantor, bet you can’t catch a shadow!” she shouted, darting away, her laughter ringing like silver chimes. The monster lunged, the ground trembling beneath its colossal step.

Meanwhile, Eli and Nebula edged toward the prism. Symbols spiralled across its cloudy glass. When Eli focused, his worry calmed—puzzles always soothed him. Gently, he traced each symbol: red for bravery, blue for honesty, yellow for joy.

“Speak your heart,” Nebula urged quietly. Eli drew a breath. “I’m scared, but I am brave. I’m unsure, but honest. I’m hopeful, and so I am joyful.” Suddenly, glowing colours flared from his hands, dancing straight into the waiting crystal.
